All genders are encouraged to participate. The WAMC aims for diversity, equity and inclusion in its membership and uses the following attributes to select candidates for voting membership: experience, interest, participation while an At-Large member, and diversity of committee (diversity of regions, clinical or research expertise, career track, rank, institutions, and volunteer experience, among other areas). We also seek applicants who are engaged generally in SGIM: it is helpful if applicants are involved in other SGIM Committees, Commissions, and/or related Interest Groups, as we also have liaison positions to many of these groups. We seek new members with expressed interest in at least one of our four priorities. The WAMC welcomes applications for “At-Large” positions from full and associate members.
WAMC members are expected to attend at least 75% of our monthly meetings which are generally held the first Friday of each month at 2:30 pm Eastern.
